Just thought I'd say a few words about Home Treatment, for those of you who aren't nurses. The Team consists of psychiatric nurses and nursing assistants who are dedicated to keeping clients in their own homes, instead of admitting them to hospital. I've been with the Team on a number of occasions and they have been splendid at looking after me at home. They visit every day whilst I'm ill and I can phone at any time, day or night. I don't want to go to hospital for a number of reasons - disrupted life, cats to care for, and the fact that I get institutionalised very quickly, so it's hard to leave. As long as I can stay at home, I will - and the CRHT make that possible.
